A Bold New Design

Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy S25 Edge, its thinnest smartphone to date. Measuring just 5.8 mm and weighing 163 grams, the device boasts a titanium body and a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The premium materials and ultra-slim profile mark a clear push by Samsung to outpace Apple in both design and innovation.

Performance Meets Intelligence

Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Edge is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of storage. The standout feature is its 200 MP rear camera, designed for high-resolution photography in all lighting conditions.

The smartphone also leverages AI features such as real-time multimodal interaction, enhanced image processing, and on-device language translation — aiming to deliver a smarter, more intuitive user experience.

Competition with Apple Heats Up

Samsung's launch comes ahead of an expected thinner iPhone from Apple, rumored to be unveiled later in 2025. The move is seen as a direct challenge in a market where aesthetics and performance increasingly go hand in hand.

Notably, Samsung surpassed Apple in global smartphone shipments in Q1 2025, capturing 20% of the market, compared to Apple's 19%, according to IDC.

Availability and Pricing

The Galaxy S25 Edge will be available in South Korea starting May 23, and in the United States from May 30. Samsung plans to roll out the device in over 30 markets, including China and key European countries.

The smartphone is priced from $1,099, with pre-order promotions offering $50 in store credits and potential discounts.
